The exhibition curator writes: While painting, music is listened to, or at times, the music is created by the always different gestures of the work – as we read in the press -to this dichotomy binds ‘In the Silence of Meditation’, exhibition in which diversity is the red line and the silence, together with a long and deep reflection that are required.

“Do not ask what can do the State or others for them. Ask yourself what you can do. This’s why of Artquake!”
The earthquake is an advent, that even before the ground, shakes the soul, the heart. One doesn’t have to be a direct victim, the world around you collapses and you find yourself in a few seconds starting from scratch. It’s an event that creates panic, the one silent and deep which will take root inside yourself, undermining the sand castle of certainties and hitherto unquestioned.
Then there is the helplessness, the impossibility of doing anything against the inevitable.
Terror, panic set in, will not let you rest. And the noble piety toward the many people that in a fraction of life, after lot of work and hopes, find themselves without anything.
It’s an ethical duty, an obligation even before a result of necessity to help those who currently experiencing the drama of the events and anxiety about an uncertain future. In this context I think it’s fair, even by those who live “the most beautiful part o f the world” art, helping those in need now more than ever.
The idea is that, primarily supported by Zonta International Club of Reggio Emilia,Bologna Academy of Fine Arts and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia (and all those organizations who will want to help, Region and Province in the head) to organize a collection of art works donated by artists from all over Italy, whose sale is aimed for the reconstruction of the municipalities of Rolo (RE), Cavezzo (MO), Quistello (MN), strongly affected by the earthquake.
In this project, significantly entitled “ARTquake”, ”the shake of the art” , that has no other protagonist than the aim to help the affected victims, are called to participate from all over Italy, artists, curators, critics and gallery owners of different formations and individuals.
To each one of them It will simply be asked to donate a work that later, under the auspices and the strict control of a non profit organization (we asked ANCI to take the responsibility), it will become part of a public exhibition in Reggio Emilia, before to be auctioned to give the proceeds to help the affected people.
We have already raised the membership of the municipality of Reggio Emilia and its Civic Museums. The main cultural workers of the municipality of Reggio Emilia, led by Alberto Agazzani, creator of the project, with the organized secretarial help of Lia Bedogni and the communicative support of Lorenzo Paci (Equilibriarte.net) and Amedeo Bartolini (NFC Editions of Rimini).
We expect support from the various Service Clubs operating in the area: Rotary, Lions, Soroptimist.
The exhibition will take place at the prestigious area of the Cloisters of Saint Domenic in Reggio Emilia, from 11th July to 5th September 2012.
The works will be exhibited with the suggestion of a minimum bid of buying direct (on-line at: www.artquake.itwebsite or through a bank transfer form) for the direct purchase.
The works remained unsold “directly” there will a raffle and the tickets will be sold at a price of € 50 each, during the conclusion of 5th September.
The proceeds will be fully and directly placed into the hands of the mayors of Rolo, Cavezzo and Quistello.

First edition of the prestigious “Art Award City of Fiuggi”, that we’ll see the city and the artists who participate, the protagonists of unprecedented event.
There are two Group Exhibitions lasting 15 days each at the Memory and Image Workshop with the prize giving ceremony at the Theatre of Fiuggi. At the group shows will participate only selected artists to ensure an higher artistic level.
The idea was to increase reputation of Fiuggi, as a city of art and not just as an health spa.
Fiuggi is a place with enormous possibilities of cultural expansion, but without a dedicated art award and it’s not an artist’s place, who could enhance the city of extra contents, giving rise to a strong cultural and tourist boom.
Citizenship has greeted the news with great enthusiasm and collaboration.
The real difference, however, will make the artists who will join in this ambitious plan giving their essential contribution to the cultural enrichment of the country.
The second stage is scheduled from 23th June to 7th July 2012 with a new group exhibition, during which will be selected other five artists to go in the final.
The goal is to be able to see the birth of a new collaboration among institutions, private individuals or municipality and the artists who participated in the competition, so as to encourage the spread and commission of works of art in the city, create cultural experiences that improve the site, creating wealth (in all its meaning).
I’m taking part in The “Biennial of Contemporary Art”
Aimed at the promotion, and enhancement of national, international, and Ciociaria artists. The competition will grant a cash prize, the mounting of a major group exhibition at the Cloister of Saint Francis of Alatri, at the Municipal Mansion of Frosinone, at the Exhibition Hall of the District of Frosinone, at the Gallery of Innocent III Square of Anagni.
All works will be published in the catalogue.
Designed by Prof. Alfio Borghese who takes care of the artistic direction, the Biennial involves the Provincial Government and the municipalities of Alatri, Frosinone and Anagni.

“The colours tell stories, investigate the space concept, with intense calls from nature, among figurative arts, abstract forms or architectural so the colours looks on life, tell our stories, that do not always listen to. They blend with steps, they became divided in dreams, they twist with thoughts, they cling to sunsets, they blur in the wind and nights” Pompea Vergaro
