Culture is not priority of a few, but lately we tend to believe the opposite. This is not an empty statement when you are in the Wikiarte Gallery, open to all and affordable for all. The space of art, we know, is no longer the temple of the sacred untouchable, but what good intractable.
Well, Wikiarte not only a need for a correction, but the changes in their beliefs. The four solo exhibitions that open on 30 March are yet another demonstration and affirmation that art is for everyone and for everyone.
Entering the world of Susanne Seilkopf, because not painting we speak, but of a whole world, seems to abandon themselves to sleep. The artist is concentrated on the representation and materialization of "intuitions and sensations", as she herself says. Each technique and matter are suitable: the elaborate design of the illustrator, the conceptual object of the conceptual, the geometry of the avant -garde immersed in the whole of the chaos ordered Dadaist. The world that offers Susanne's work, autobiographical and intimate, manifests itself in different realities where each canvas involves in apparently childish games, which gather a life story, which is that of the artist and anyone who recognizes themselves in the stories designed by Seilkopf.
The interpretation of the dream life featuring paintings by Dannie Praed. A ray of light, a breath, a fast stroke: these are the guiding elements of an artist who looks at the world through the eyes of a child, but it expresses the sensitivity of women. From the representation watercolor, apparently informal, emerge as brief flashbacks, figures and real forms, tell of course, as they are and not as they result purely figurative art and attentive to detail. The painter Modena observes life with serenity and transforms it into images, thanks to its simplicity, assume immediate communicative efficiency of those who share personal memories but common, idyllic childhood of the world.
The color is form, it is sound, is a word in the works of Dianella Madrigrano who devotes his artistic research in this leading role. The rhythm of the painting is marked essential to the sound of words spoken in clear pure tones. The canvas is divided into fields of color, in disparate pages of notes. Today, more than ever, the medium is the message, perifrasiamo, the picture is communication on society and individuals. The work of Madrigrano is indicative in this respect, showing how the art of painting can take the dynamics of the medium and focus on perception again, as in classical art, as in the mass media. Regardless of content, is the means to generate content, but when this is not technological but cultural, its nature goes beyond the message, as well as writing, and painting to define a new mindset.
Aidan, a true Italian, attacks the canvas size to draw, to corrodes the color and makes it expresses the discontent of modern man. Shapes, shadows and live appearances the work of Aidan and revive in our eyes only with an application on your smartphone. Trivial and absurd will contain the bi-dimension of the canvas while painting, to our knowledge, consciousness affects the unconscious shaking. Download an APP, filter through technological means the art to make it visible to seem disinterested a “method” and instead present work is the measure, already coined by photography, behind the image there is always creative thinking.
