The Cultural Association Ferrara pro and Domus Turca with the support of Provincial Administration and of the City Council of Ferrara promotes the art exhibition: "Reality and Emotion" - Second edition.
The event will take place at the Estense Castle of Ferrara - rooms of the Imbarcadero, in the days in conjunction with the exhibition dedicated to Giovanni Boldini at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. The high influx of visitors to the Boldini exhibition will be able to prove to be a decisive element as the Estense Castle is located along the route of the Palazzo dei Diamanti. Can it still make sense today to represent the pictorial reality? It is generally believed that so -called figurative art is easier to understand that not abstract or aniconic art: the fact of recognizing in a canvas of songs of reality or recognizable subjects can appear consoling, not embarrassing. Not to mention the technical fact: when there is skill and profession, when we see the skill, the painter's hand with our eyes, then we can say that we are faced with a true artist. But the apparent ease of reading makes us find "shreds" of reality, "built" combinations between objects, sometimes signals of a conflicting relationship between the real and imaginary world, between the outside and the fantastic and maniacal perspective of the author. Because the artist would like to solve the split between the objective and subjective plan in the work: but, semantically displacing objects, builds a new, unpredictable, "other" image compared to the common perception. To mention a great that has excellently traveled the path of the figurative, Pablo Picasso: "There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, and there are others who, thanks to their art and intelligence, are capable to transform a yellow stain into a sun".
