Pro Biennial: Scuola Grande San Teodoro/Spoleto Pavilion – Venezia – Spoleto Arte
In Venice it is now an appointment as consolidated as it is indispensable that ofPro Biennal,, presented byVittorio Sgarbiand organized bySalvo Nugnes,, cultural manager and President of Spoleto Arte.
is now an event as consolidated as it is inevitable. Especially if, as a background, there is a combination of exceptional venues: the Spoleto Pavilion (Calle Dei Cerchiari 1270 and the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro(Campo San Salvador, 4810).
The openingwill take placefrom 15.00 on Tuesday 8th May, the day when the professorVittorio Sgarbi will celebrate his birthday. As a demonstration of his passion for the art world, the well-known critic has in fact chosen to spend here the joyful occasion.
In the context of the Biennial Architecture , the Pro Biennale promises, in addition to the exhibition, a very rich calendar of meetings up to 29th May. The names to which each event is connected all belong to prominent personalities from the world of art, culture and entertainment.
The surprises continue with the presence of other illustrious guests on the day of the opening, including the sopranoKatia Ricciarelli,the director of TG Com Paolo Liguori, the artist José Dalì, son of Salvador Dalì, Alberto D’Atanasio, director of the Modigliani Museumand Veronica Ferrettiof the Buonarroti Museum, the chefGiancarlo Vissani, the patron of Harry’s Bar Arrigo Cipriani, andPatrick Puglieseof Striscia la Notizia.But, returning to the Pro Biennale program, starting from the opening day, on May 8th, the “Women’s Voices” conference will be presented.
Here the journalistSilvana Giacobini, director of “Chi” and “Diva e Donna”, will speak of them: from Sophia Loren to Hillary Clinton up to a great man who has always loved them, Alberto Sordi. His book “Albertone – Alberto Sordi, an Italian legend” will be accompanied by that of Vanna Ugolini, writer and journalist of “Il Messaggero”: “It is not my fault – Voices of men who killed women”.
On Saturday May 12th there will be a conference on contemporary art withCarlo Motta, editor ofEditoriale Giorgio Mondadori, and the internationally renowned artistMarco Lodola. It continues on May 13 with “Dialogue on fashion”.
For the occasionTony Di Corciawill present the story ofGianni Versacewith “Gianni Versace, the biography” andRoberta CamerinoSchegge di R”, a diary that recalls life together with the mother designer friend of Coco Chanel and Salvador Dali.
Moving towards the closing, the meeting on art, set design and experimentation with the Oscar winnerGianni Quarantaand the world-renowned photographer Roberto Villa,a friend of Dario Fo and Pier Paolo Pasolini, is scheduled for May 25th.
