Saturday, June 18, 2011 19,00 p.m. at E20 -Papiano Gaia Marsciano (Perugia), is the opening of the Group Exhibition “Minimalia”.
The artists featured in “Minimalia”, small format painting show have their own distinct personality.
40 artists were selected and invited to submit works defined by lines, chromatic shapes, “portrayals” essentially strong as the nature and art can be.
The art needs simplicity and impulses at the same time and can be born from an idea, an observation, a conceptual reflection, a strong thought that require a deep commitment to working through and land a receptive welcome.
he artists in the show transfer to the canvas, the board, to various material supports their inner world of thoughts, revelations, of trepidations, of questions.
They are certainly aware that it’s not enough to have a job, because without a profound idea of existence, artworks result demoralizing.
Through their expressive works they want to present a message that conveys freedom and passion, between the real dimension and the imaginary world of ideas.
Each work in this gallery, appears sublime if we can detach ourselves for a moment from the noise of everyday life and observe it with simplicity, with the sense of the precarious and frailty that permeate us.
It is probably a nature song for life, for universal love, or a cry to protest against all forms of injustice and oppression.
Works of art are always witnesses to another time and tell the story of a secret hidden in the depths of our existence and our consciousness.
